The War for Motion Control Video Gaming Has Begun. "Kinect" is the new name for the controller-free gaming and entertainment experience by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game platform.

Microsoft KINECT for the Xbox 360 video game platform.

It just took a 76-person cast (dancers, musicians, acrobats, and even some clowns), celebrities from Hollywood, 8m high projection screens totaling more than a football field in length, a 3m tall elephant puppet, and a 12m diameter steel structure that rotates on its axis while weighing as much as 25 VW Beetles.

But a stunning Cirque du Soleil production at E3 (an exclusive 45-minute experience that Cirque du Soleil spent four months developing) gave birth from Project Natal to Kinect. The camera-control technolgy that powers Kinect is from Israel. Maker PrimeSense also has deals with PC and STB makers.
